We’ve also added a special Burns’ Night at Home menu to our order page – click below to take a look.
This week we’re offering our delicious sourdough with unsalted butter, followed by a healthy salad of endive, watercress, rocket and Hebridean Blue cheese made on the Isle of Mull. Perfect with red wine poached pear, candied hazelnuts and walnuts. A really delicious starter.
Moving on to the main course, we have one of our most popular dishes – a bake of organic lamb, shredded and layered with slices of potato and black pudding. If you have had this, you will recall how very tasty it is. We serve this with greens and a big dollop of aioli.
To keep you going before pudding, I.J. Mellis will supply their best cheese for you to enjoy with our chutney and oatcakes. This week it’s Westray Wife, a fabulous cheese.
The pudding this week is a good one. As it’s citrus season, we’re making an organic lemon posset with apricot flapjacks. A lovely combination – something sweet always cheers us up a wee bit, doesn’t it.
And then, a piece of fudge to go with some Artisan Roast coffee to finish it all off.
If you would prefer to speak to us about an order, you can call us on Mondays. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 12 – 6pm.
