Greetings from Whitmuir

It’s September already and Autumn is now officially upon us.

Veg is changing daily and our root veg in particular is starting to come through in abundance, along with some lovely corn on the cob and new season squashes. Brose oat milk are back on board so their Original and Barista Oat milks are now available online and in store. We have also sourced some pork from Graig Farm in Wales and have lots of streaky bacon, back bacon, gammon, pork chops and more in stock.

The biggest news here is that after 21 years farming organically here at Whitmuir, Pete and Heather are putting the farm up for sale.  They are hoping to attract buyers who will buy into the organic ethos, continue to run the linked businesses here and be as passionate as they have been about organic farming systems being key  to mitigating climate change and feeding us all well and more sustainably. We will let you know of our progress, but are not in a hurry and want to make sure we find the right people to write the next chapter of this amazing farm’s story.  Meanwhile, we continue to run the shop and home delivery business, Quercus and Junkshopantiques are open and the farm is here to be enjoyed.

Come and have a look – Shop The shop is open Tuesday – Sunday, from 10am to 4pm.
