Loch Arthur Shop & Cafe opening times
Just now we are open from 9am to 4pm. We will extend our opening hours a little from Monday 3rd August, staying open Monday to Friday until 5pm. The cafe opens at 9.30am and as of 3rd August, last orders for hot food will be 3.30pm and last orders for drinks and cakes will be 4pm, with the cafe closing at 4.30pm. We will remain closed on Saturdays for the next few weeks.
In order to help us keep everyone at Loch Arthur safe, please wear a face covering at all times when in the shop. If you are visiting the inside cafe, please wear your face covering until you are seated at a table and when visiting the toilets.
Eat out to help out
We have registered to take part in the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme. When you eat or drink in our cafe (inside or outside) on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday during August you will get 50% off your bill, up to £10 per person. We are not taking table bookings but we do have lots of benches outside and 8 tables inside (instead of our usual 17).
We would love to hear some feedback about your cafe experience here at Loch Arthur – it’s very early days in our new-style cafe operation and we are learning more every day about how we can ensure everyone feels safe while still enjoying eating out here. Please do get in touch to tell us about your visits.
Fruit & Vegetables
There’s a great selection of UK seasonal produce coming in this week. From our own gardens we are harvesting courgettes, kale, chard and lettuce. From other UK sources we will have Harlequin and Pattipan squashes and fresh peas. The yellow honey sweet watermelons from Greece were delicious so we’ve ordered some more, and a rare treat – we have red and white grapes coming from Spain. Until the UK apples and pears are ready to harvest we have to buy imported ones… This week we’re getting some Spanish Ercolini pears.
