Ballintaggart updates & Sourdough Tips

Are you even in #lockdown if you’re not tending your own starter and trying your hands at making your own sourdough? Of course you are (we’re not judging!) but all the same, we are loving watching many committed and new bakers try making their own bread. If you’re not sure where to start, we have linked to a brilliant how to video (made by one of our chefs @mini_rinaldi_cooks ) in our highlights and if you have any questions drop us a message and we’ll try and help. If you don’t have the patience for sourdough, we’ll be sharing a delicious soda bread recipe here soon and if prefer someone to make your bread for you, we hope you have a baking neighbour or friend close by or simply hold on, we hope we’re back to daily baking soon!

We miss feeding people and we miss our {mostly furloughed} team but are delighted that General Manager @fran_tully , Senior Server @charlottemcintyre_ and a growing group of volunteers are enabling us to help deliver a small part of the brilliant community initiative #Feldy-Roo It provides nourishing, twice daily meals to many over 70s and vulnerable residents in our community. #ballintaggart and @theinnonthetay together have helped to expand the Aberfeldy based service to Grandtully, Strathtay and Ballinluig. We had a super smooth trial run on Wednesday and are raring to go for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
