We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have some seed which has been in cold storage all spring and is in excellent condition – perfect for late summer sowing! Is it too early to mention 🎅🎄?
🥔Four varieties all with great blight resistance (Colleen, Record, Maris Peer and Sarpo Kifli) in two net sizes; 6 tubers and 1 kg and discounts are available on bulk purchases. Price includes UK postage.
🥔We would advise planting from the start of July till around mid August in a pot which can be easily moved to a greenhouse to ensure that the plant will not suffer from any early frost in the autumn, however, they can easily be planted as normal in the ground. They will take around 14 weeks to harvest and so if planted in July they would be ready end of October / early November and would keep beautifully for Christmas if you can last that long!
🥔We also have good availability on potatoes for sowing now – one to highlight would be Arran Victory on Slow Food Ark of Taste – we thought we were out of this but had mis-counted! Get in quick as there are not many left – this is a fantastic variety for a roastie for anytime not just at Christmas! We don’t have enough to put it with the Christmas potatoes!
🥔That’s the centre piece for Christmas Dinner sorted! What will you have as the side dish?
