Catering in Scotland Excellence Chef of the Year Award 2013, a well deserved accolade and still going from strength to strength. Stylish venue, immaculate city dining with imaginative dishes from one of Scotland’s finest. The restaurant sits right on the banks of the Tay. Members of the prestigious Scotch Beef Club. A huge supporter of local produce here he is in action at the Royal Highland Show.
Recently I dined here with 10 Slow Food Danes who were visiting Perth as part of a Rural Research programme and they absolutely loved it – ‘Thanks for guiding us to an excellent dining experience at 63 Tay Street. One to remember in the menu-files of the brain.’
Not only is Chef Patron Graeme Pallister highly skilled and talented in the kitchen but Graeme also works enthusiastically with local schools supporting the Slow Food Movement and devising ways to link future generations with how food is produced. He also has an interesting blog on his website and is passionate about Scottish artisan cheeses and his cheeseboard is all Scottish artisan cheeses. Member of Slow Food Chefs’ Alliance.
For his fine Scottish cheeseboard Cheeseboard he is an Honorary Member of Scottish Cheese Trail. photos… Graeme @ Royal Highland Show. Restaurant photos credit 63 Tay St
