Home of Benromach Speyside Malt Whisky. Speyside’s smallest working distillery, Benromach, has scooped a top award at the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition for its flagship Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Benromach 10 Years Old. Their world class range also includes Peat Smoke, Hermitage, Sassicaia, 30 Year, 35 Year and more!
Privately owned by the Urquhart family, this smallest working distillery in Speyside was lovingly restored to its former glory by malt whisky specialists Gordon & MacPhail. It was reopened in 1998 by HRH The Prince of Wales and has since won many awards and plaudits including Scottish Food & Drink Excellence Awards.
They produce an enticing range of fine malts including the world’s first Benromach Organic Whisky. Their Distillery tours are superb and the Visitor Centre charming – you can even buy Wendy’s cookbook there! Their world renowned Gordon & MacPhail Whisky Shop & Deli in Elgin is also well worth a visit and on Scottish Cheese Trail for their very fine Cheese Counter too. I am proud to have been invited to be an ‘Honorary Stillman.’ Here is Stuart Urquhart in Malmö at the Beer & Whisky Festival ‘Världens äldsta whiskyflaska öppnas i Skåne’ “World’s Oldest Whisky opened in Skåne” The tasting was led by Stuart, whose grandfather started to mature whisky on sherry casks in 1939.
