Jacqueline is the classic ambassador for Scottish produce as she cooks expertly in the kitchens whilst ‘wee sis’ is greeter par excellence. Jak has also competed superbly on The Great British Menu Series two years running and often demonstrates for Quality Meat Scotland. She is a popular face these days on TV and at national events.
Their Kelvingrove restaurant is contemporary in neutral tones of grey with stunning original artwork from the famous local artist Philip Raskin, portraying landscapes and seas in this stylish setting. After over 20 years, Jak has ‘hung up her pink pinny’ at The Sisters Jordanhill (Sept2018) and is now concentrating on this super venue at Kelvingrove.
The menus are brimming with local produce, all delicious and very tempting, ranging from perfectly cooked Ramsay’s gammon to light delicate beetroot mousse and smooth velvety paté. The desserts are also worth saving a wee space for – meringues with butterscotch sauce, sticky toffee pudding… mmm
Jak in full swing at Glamis Food Festival & Perth.
