Malcolm Duck and his family took over this well known Aberlady landmark in 2004 and since then have not only invested much tender loving care but also attracted accolades for their food and wines. The dining rooms and al fresco patio garden dining are all fabulously re-designed (spring 2021) so it’s definitely time for you to revisit this wonderful East Lothian establishment…and stay a night or two to explore this beautiful region.
There are menu options all day from informal tasty dishes to tempt you after a bracing coastal walk or a round of golf (or no excuse required!) to romantic dining too. The bar menu has an attractive favourites to tempt you with great flavours, local shellfish, burgers, sharing platters and salads. There are brunches and a la carte options for every time of day and occasion. Malcolm takes pride in sourcing the best of Scotland’s produce along with real ale, 50 to 60 malts and Ducks wine list.
The accommodation is also excellent, with a range of lovely en suite rooms. Ducks has has achieved many accolades including Winner of Best Hotel Restaurant Award at the East Lothian Food and Drink Awards and is a great asset to this pretty village.
