Maker of the famous luxury Orkney Ice Cream, they are also the main producers of milk for the islands from their farm at Crantit near Kirkwall. They created their first ice cream in 1995 and it proved an instant hit.
Now available in a range of delicious flavours – with more being added regularly – Orkney Ice Cream has won a string of awards over the years and been voted Best Artisan Ice Cream in the UK. No wonder some of Scotland’s best hotels such as The Crinan (right) use their range of fabulous flavours.

They have now launched a fantastic J Gow Rum and Raisin flavour made with local rum – this has just won 2** Gold Great Taste Award, along with their Orkney Original.
No on site shop but available throughout the isles and at best delis and restaurants elsewhere. Spotted at Rothiemurchus Farm shop the other day!
