This very attractive family run historic country lodge on outskirts of town has been extensively and lovingly refurbished and is absolutely beautiful. Award-winning Chef Patron Neil McGowan and his family are justly proud of its status as Fishing Hotel of the Year, a pastime close to his heart. Indeed any guests can be assured their catch will be skilfully conjured into their dinner if desired.
Neil leads a team of talented chefs who have a real passion for producing the most delicious food. All ingredients are locally sourced where possible and everything is freshly cooked to order.
‘Two Sisters at East Haugh House’ restaurant is recommended in the UK’s Michelin Guide 2017. Game and local seafood are regulars on the menu and shooting and stalking can be arranged for you. The surrounding countryside is stunning and Pitlochry is close by for those in need of retail therapy! It is also home to the famous Pitlochry Theatre.
The atmosphere in East Haugh’s beautifully appointed dining room is really lovely, complete with its fishing memorabilia and old photographs of local heritage. This is my superb slow cooked lamb dish. Photo inset (right) credit East Haugh.
