Only a hop from Edinburgh, chef proprietors David Haetzman and Amanda Jordan opened this lovely brasserie in 2015 and were Catering in Scotland Excellence Finalist Newcomer of the Year 2016 and CiS Winners in 2017. In 2018, Thistle Regional Winner for Best Eating Experience.
They are both superb chefs in their own right and having their own place is the culmination of much planning and determination to fulfill their dream. Although skilled across the board, David leans towards the starters and mains, leaving gifted Patisserie Chef Amanda to excel at the desserts! With enthusiastic offspring watching and learning this is certainly a family business!

They are dedicated to the use of local produce and David has given fine performances at the Royal Highland Show with local venison. His knowledge of beef is superb and the meat dishes on their menus also tell you the exact breed and sourcing – and you can really taste the difference!
