Fragrant Hemp Seed & Cherry Slice
This wonderfully #hygge combo of roasted hemp seeds, mint, lavender and rose petals, serve not only as a relaxing enjoyable infusion but also adding extra nuances to your favourite sponge.

Ingredients
- 125g butter
- 125g golden sugar
- 225g flour
- 2tsp baking powder
- 4 eggs
- 250g glace cherries
- A strong individual brew of Leonard’s Hemp Teamade with 2 dessertspoons of tea
Instructions
- Prepare a pot of tea, allow to brew and pour over cherries. Leave for at least 30 minutes.
- Line an oven tray and pre heat-oven to 180°C.
- Whisk all ingredients together apart from the soaking cherries. When cake mix is glossy, fold in drained fruit then add an egg cup or two of remaining tea to create a dropping consistency.
- Spoon into an oblong tin lined with parchment.
- Bake for half an hour and test cake with a metal skewer. The skewer should come out clean, not sticky and cake should be well risen and set. Cut in fingers to serve.
Recipe Notes
If you prefer to use a deeper cake tin for your cake, it requires a longer cooking time.
