A little look back, and a lot to look forward to!
A massive thank you to everyone who came down to Whighams over the Fringe. Whether you joined us for dinner, stopped by for a glass of wine, came along to the jazz or simply popped your head downstairs — we really appreciate it.
With Princes Street being closed for what has felt like forever, it’s definitely been a strange few months around here. So seeing familiar faces, new faces and people continuing to choose independent businesses has meant a lot to us. We’re very grateful.
And now, onto what’s coming up…
Edinburgh Cocktail Week 
We’re really excited to be taking part in Edinburgh Cocktail Week from 2nd–11th October, and of course we’ve made something special for it.
Say hello to The Green Hour — Kümmel, basil, lemon, elderflower, fresh mint, apple juice, Mexican lime soda and a little Angostura. Green, fresh and slightly unexpected. We’re rather fond of it.
See you in a month, Edinburgh!
New things are coming…
We’re also making a few changes behind the scenes. There’ll be new cocktails and some new dishesjoining the menu in October, so if you haven’t been in for a while, there’ll be a few new things waiting for you. We’ll share more over on our socials soon, so keep an eye out.
And then there’s wine…
On Thursday 19th November, we’re hosting a very special Nouveau Beaujolais wine tasting. It’ll be a premium, guided tasting led by Wine Importers, with live music throughout the evening and, of course, plenty of wine to work our way through.
Tickets will be available to buy very soon. We’ll let you know as soon as they’re live, so keep an eye on your inbox for the next newsletter.
And yes… we’re already talking about Christmas
December will be here before we know it, and we’ll be doing a special Christmas menu at Whighams this year. If you’re thinking about joining us for your work Christmas dinner, a get-together with friends or just an excuse to get everyone around a table, drop us a line at: christmas@whighams.com
