Similar to Spanish “Membrillo” which is traditionally served with cheese, this is cooked for a shorter time, giving a softer texture and a slightly fresher quince flavour and makes a spreadable, as opposed to slice-able fruit puree.
It’s a great alternative to chutney for those who prefer a sweet rather than savoury accompaniment to cheese and charcuterie.
