News from The Ethical Dairy

Our cheese stores are always a little lean in late spring and early summer, due to the seasonal nature of some of our cheeses, but we’re almost fully stocked again.

We’ve got good availability of Carrick, TommeSmoked TommeFleet Valley BlueCheddar and Cooking Cheese right now. Cheddar is now available in both 150g and 500g wedges, so you can choose the size that suits, and our pasteurised-blue cheese, Barlocco Blue, is particularly tasty right now. Laganory and our Skinny cheeses need a little longer to mature, but they’ll be available soon.

In other news, Carrick won a Silver medal at the Scottish Dairy Championships, held at the Royal Highland Show, one of the most prestigious cheese awards in the country, so we’re really chuffed about that. Our friends at Errington Cheese won Gold in the same category for their superb Corra Linn, which also took Best Scottish Cheese Overall, so it’s not a disappointment to be placed runner up to the best cheese in Scotland!

A note for Garnie fans: the next batch is being made soon and there are only a few packs left for pre-order, so if Garnie’s a cheese you love, we’d recommend ordering soon to avoid missing out.

Order deadline for delivery this coming week is 8am Monday morning.
