A New Season is Coming to 1902 October Menu
There’s plenty happening behind the scenes at 1902 Bar & Grill as Head Chef Darryl Keillor and his team prepare our new menu for October. You won’t have to wait quite that long to get a taste of what’s coming, though. We’ll be introducing a few of the new dishes to our current menu over the coming weeks, giving you an early opportunity to discover some of the flavours of the new season.
As ever, the menu will reflect Darryl’s focus on seasonal ingredients, carefully considered dishes and plenty of variety. Keep an eye out when you visit, as you may find something new waiting for you.

Something New in Your Glass
Our menu isn’t the only thing getting a refresh. We have a new wine list to explore, with some excellent additions chosen to complement the food at 1902.
Among them is Clifford Quays Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, now available by the glass, with all the fresh, vibrant character you’d expect from a New Zealand Sauvignon. And for something altogether different, rock fans might be tempted by Iron Maiden Darkest Red, a Portuguese red that brings a little rock and roll to the wine list.

Or there’s always Afternoon Tea…
As summer begins to give way to cooler autumn days, Afternoon Tea becomes a rather lovely way to spend a few hours. Settle in with freshly prepared sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream and jam, savoury bites, sweet treats and, of course, plenty of tea or coffee.
Perfect for catching up with friends, marking a special occasion or simply escaping the cooler weather for an afternoon. Available to book daily from 2pm to 5pm, except Wednesdays.

We’ve told you before Christmas is coming
It might only be September, but December tables don’t wait for December! We’re already taking bookings for Christmas dining at 1902 Bar & Grill, so if you’re planning a family celebration, a get together with friends or your business Christmas meal, now is a good time to get the date in the diary.
