A fabulous addition to Helmsdale where Donna and her team are creating a wonderful food destination in this pretty highland village on the North Coast 500. She has brought the historic white-washed building back to life, a welcoming haunt for locals and travellers alike, brimming with great food and warm hospitality.

The deli counter is filled with cheese, charcuterie and home made delicatessen to eat-in or takeaway. The café is a hub of activity with artisan coffees and teas available, home bakes and food served throughout the day.

The book-lined wall is an indicator of Donna’s other love – books. These will regularly feature among the seasonal events at Othin House where Donna also has a charming and vibrant event space where they will be hosting a range of fairs and special occasions, also available for hire.

From a hospitality family, Donna is no stranger to what running an establishment entails and is eager to put Helmsdale on the map. A trained cook, she has also taken on charcuterie and other additional skills to increase her repertoire, offering mouth-watering menus, colourful flavours and produce on sale.
