Summer Dining at 1902 Bar & Grill

June is the perfect time to settle into relaxed dining at 1902 Bar & Grill. Their summer edition menu, created by Head Chef Darryl Keillor and his team, has already receiving fantastic feedback, bringing together quality local ingredients and beautifully balanced dishes inspired by the season. From elegant seafood dishes and vibrant starters to indulgent desserts and classic favourites, every visit offers something a little different. Whether you are joining us for a leisurely Sunday lunch, afternoon tea, or an evening meal in the heart of Dunbar, you can always expect warm hospitality and food prepared with care.

Highlights include: 

  • Bee Garden Starter – creamy burrata paired with sweet grapes, fragrant thyme, and a drizzle of honey, finished with delicate bee pollen and crisp crostini for a fresh, summery starter
  • Crispy Lamb Belly – crispy lamb belly served with smoky aubergine, cooling smoked yoghurt, and bursts of pomegranate, finished with fragrant mint oil and a rich lamb glaze
  • French Trimmed Chicken Ballotine – tender chicken ballotine filled with herb mousse, served with seasonal spinachcourgette, and carrot, finished with fragrant wild garlic oil for a fresh, elegant dish
  • Halibut – roast halibut served with fresh samphiremussels, sweet grapes, and pickled fennel, finished with a rich shellfish emulsion and fragrant sea herb oil for a beautifully fresh coastal dish
  • Tell It to the Bees – a delicate white chocolate and honey parfait finished with bee pollen, sharp lemon gel, and rich espresso caramel sauce — sweet, smooth, and beautifully balanced
