This is a perfect example of a fabulous farm shop and Loch Lomond is lucky to have them. They make their own excellent range of ice creams, from their family’s traditional Friesian herd, also selling old-fashioned non-homogenised deliciously creamy dairy milk.
They have their own herd of Highland Cattle plus additional meats in their chillers from other local suppliers and a range of pies. We had their Highland Beef, slow cooked on our log stove and the flavour was wonderful…these traditional breeds taste superb.
This lovely family farm shop also has a full range range of artisan cheeses on their CHEESE COUNTER, better than many a city deli, plus local bread deliveries and a generous selection of rapeseed oils, jams, chutneys and other goodies. There are outdoor picnic tables to tarry a while with a top notch coffee and food-to-go from the chiller so no need to hurry.
A family business with mum and daughter, Ishbel & Janey, plus the rest of the family. Dairy farmers for 5 generations, following the ethos of their grandfathers, “traditional, simple and true to their values.”
