Profile
Welcome to our latest entry – the fabulous Wee Restaurant in North Queensferry.
This husband and wife team opened the Wee Restaurant in 2006 and have been carving out a fine reputation in Fife and beyond ever since. Chef proprietor Craig, crowned Chef of the Year 2015 at the CIS Excellence Awards, creates wonderful menus using only the best local produce carefully sourced, often delivered personally by the producers. Vikki, the other part of this hospitality couple, is front-of-house and everything in between I expect: restaurateur, admin, wife and mum!
The Wee Restaurant is in a gorgeous iconic location right under the Forth Rail Bridge on the south coast of Fife, just over the Queensferry Crossing. The Rail Bridge was completed in 1890 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It featured in the 39 Steps and no doubt other movies too.
As the name suggests, the restaurant is dainty in size so better to book. It is equally lovely for dinner for two as it is for parties (seating approx 40) – and we have done both. Every dish is beautifully served with great attention to detail.
Open Tuesdays to Saturdays for lunches and dinners, check website for most recent details and booking. Menus feature much seafood such as Roasted Turbot, Baby Spinach, Samphire, Capers & Hollandaise Sauce, also well-sourced beef for example 32 Day Dry aged 8oz Black Isle Fillet Steak and always a vegetarian option. The desserts and wine list are also a joy to behold. Children are welcomed and dishes adapted – more details on their link.
There are also other events, wine tastings and offers to keep a look out for these too.
