Rothiemurchus is a wonderful family run Highland Estate set at the heart of the stunning Cairngorms National Park. Passionate about delicious food, Rothiemurchus not only produces its very own succulent Highland Beef, Velvety Forest Venison and fresh Rainbow Trout all home reared on the estate, it has a plethora of other delicacies and tempting treats in their fine Farm Shop.
They have a superb range of cheeses on their cheese counter and whilst you are there, tarry awhile and walk around Loch An Eilein – pure magic and actually voted Britain’s Best Picnic Spot! Rothie (as it is fondly known) also offers more than 30 different outdoor activities for everyone to enjoy and have self catering accommodation (more info to follow).
Before you leave, do try their fabulous Barn too. The Barn is a new addition from 2021 serving food-to-go burgers, meal specials, a vegan dish of the day, along with their popular soups and classic Cullen skink.
Their commitment to a zero waste policy has seen the recent launch of ‘Rothie Refills” for many food essentials. They also produce their own heather honey.
