Allan & Joan, by Abernethy, produce a range of handmade tasty jams and jellies, chilli chutneys and sauces all made with natural ingredients including chillies, apples, garlic & pears in their bespoke chilli kitchen. Mother-in-law Betty is often in there lending a hand too so they make a ‘fab wee team.” Many of the ingredients are homegrown whilst others are sourced at the farmers’ markets they attend, all on a chilli theme.
All of their recipes have been fine-tuned and perfected over many years with culinary expertise and passion. Their produce can be spotted in many of Scottish Food Guide’s Farm Shops and they regularly attend farmers’ markets and festivals too. Voted Best Food Business in Perthshire Business Awards 2023.
