A warm welcome to No88, Best Eatery Winner 2023 at the Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Awards and a fine addition to Lerwick’s food scene. The night we dined it was positively buzzing with life yet still light, airy and comfortable. The staff are friendly and whilst a smart cool venue, it is fun and not too formal. The paper table mat (pictured) illustrates the sourcing of their ingredients, demonstrating a pride in the local island producers.
The menu has a great range of local seafood, meat and vegetarian, all stylishly served and delicious. A fresh seasonal menu regularly changing. The scallops were wonderful and the hake cooked to perfection. You can opt for their signature fish and chips with Shetland haddock and hand cut chips if you prefer. Desserts too were hard to choose from, they were all so tempting, and we took our coffees to the upstairs bar where there is colourful decor and comfy curvy seating. A great place to chill after a beautiful dining experience.
