Profile
John Lawson is a prime example of the traditional Scottish family butcher we
should celebrate and support. Their beef and lamb is reared on the family farm and are prepared on their premises. They specialize in dry aged beef matured on the bone for a minimum of 21 days.
They have been crowned the Scotch Lamb Butcher of the Year 2018 in a new initiative from the Scotch Butchers Club run by Quality Meat Scotland (QMS).
They have the full range of Scotch pork, poultry and game in their refurbished premises with additional delicatessen. Members of the Scottish Craft Butchers, John Lawson founded his business in 1979 and runs it with his wife and three sons (pictured here with Glen from QMS). Their Original Scottish Black Pudding made with fresh blood qualifies for the Slow Food Ark Of Taste. Scottish Craft Butcher Member.
