Entrants are welcome to deliver their bread entries to me (Wendy) at Bowhouse, KY10 2DB between the hours of 9am – 11am (at which hour entries will absolutely close) on Friday 23rd February. https://www.bowhousefife.com
OR
Use one of three drop-off options if this is more convenient for you:
- Halbeath Park&Ride, KY11 7EG between the hours of 9am – 10am on the Friday. Jock will be there in a light blue Vauxhall Merivawith tailgate up in a conspicuous spot.
- Maybury Casino carpark, EH12 8NE between the hours of 9am – 10am on the Friday. Alison will be there in a dark blue Volvo.
- Lidl car park, Beith Street, Partick, Glasgow G11 6DQ between the hours of 9am – 10am on the Friday. Paul will be there in a white Honda Civic. (That’s just off the Expressway and only 100m from bus, train, and subway stations).
For these drop-off options, a volunteer is waiting by their car for your bread boxes/bags and shall endeavour to make themselves obvious for this purpose. At prompt 10am these cars will depart, loaded with entries, to deliver them to Bowhouse.
IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT EACH ENTRY IS INDIVIDUALLY CLEARLY LABELLED WITH YOUR NAME, CLASS & LOAF NAME, ALL ITEMS CONTAINED IN A BOX/BAG.
This is vital to ensure there are no mix-ups during transportation and to enable the matching of breads to entry forms. Remember also to add in any marketing material/labelling for Saturday’s bread display. I thank you for your diligence.

We are delighted the Championship currently receives sponsorship from The Edinburgh Bakers Trust. a registered charity (SC047164) whose purpose is the advancement of baking education, arts, heritage, culture and science. Their core activity is to award small grants to bakers and other related organisations.
Scotland The Bread & Scottish Food Guide are also main sponsors. The Scottish Bread Championship was co-founded by Andrew Whitley (Scotland The Bread) & Wendy Barrie (Scottish Food Guide) in 2017. Our grateful thanks to our friends, families and colleagues who give their time and enthusiasm to help us on the days. They do this on a purely voluntary basis and we really appreciate it.
Real Bread Week (17th to 25th February 2024), the ideal occasion for such a Championship as our criteria is fundamentally that of Real Bread.
