Built in 1836 as a hunting lodge by the 5th Duke of Buccleuch, this historic residence was central to the Borders life and still is. Famous for its game, it offers a range of other options for all occasions, both inside their lovely lodge and al fresco in the beautiful grounds. Come and take a look for yourself.
The varied and tempting menus focus on local suppliers, wild and farmed – always with great Border Beef and Game in pole position but also other options for those in need. The Blue Coo has a relaxed friendly atmosphere with personal service, from takeaways, Sunday Roasts to Curry Nights. Also available are a delicious range of condiments (pictured) available to buy from Buccleuch Arms.
Buccleuch Arms, home to the Blue Coo Bistrot, is a great place to dine, brimming with local produce from their tasty breakfasts (open to non residents) through to lunches and dinners. Your host Chef Proprietor Billy Hamilton is passionate about local produce and will cook up a treat for you. Buccleuch Arms also has a beautiful walled garden for relaxed dining, Scottish weather permitting.
They have beautiful accommodation and Buccleuch Arms makes a romantic, historic and stylish venue for weddings and celebrations too. St Boswells is a bonnie wee town with pretty traditional shops, set in glorious Border countryside with good communication links northwards to Edinburgh & over the border to England.
