Profile
Opening for the season usually around mid March, this small historic independent hotel on the world-famous Isle of Iona has its own beautiful generously-proportioned walled organic garden that supplies them with as many herbs, salads and veg as possible. They are only a short walk from where the ferry lands so you can watch it come in from the dining room. The views are stunning and the famous Abbey is nearby too. Their ethos is locally sourced, hand made food that is made to order and they are dedicated to using freshly landed seafood, local lamb and pork that is even locally cured.
Much of the rest of their beef, game and pork is sourced directly from the Mull Slaughterhouse, helping the wider Mull & Iona food producing community.
Serving splendid soups, sandwiches, salads and platters for lunch and a la carte menu at dinner, showcasing local meat and fish as well as interesting vegetarian/vegan food. The owners are founder members of the Mull & Iona Food Trail and support food from Argyll. A beautiful friendly hotel run by a very devoted couple.
