Tucked away snugly down a back lane in the New Town off Hanover Street, this stylish French inspired bistro is oozing atmosphere, locally sourced produce and a certain je ne sais quoi. Whether it’s North Ronaldsay of Orkney Boreray mutton, outdoor-reared pork, local tomatoes, freshly caught seafood or East Lothian greens, Neil works with a host of artisan food producers, many of whom he has been loyal to for over a decade.
Member of Scotland’s Slow Food Cooks Alliance, acknowledging and supporting Slow Food principles, Neil is a wonderful asset to Scotland’s food scene. His support and use of organic produce has earned him Scotland’s first Soil Association Organic Restaurant Award.
Neil offers delicious menus in the Café but also offers a weekly Café at Home menu & has a presence at Edinburgh’s Saturday Farmers’ Market – all that plus growing produce in his kitchen garden. One busy & enthusiastic guy!
