The Old Mill at Killearn has now opened a lovely Shop in their courtyard.
Check their website for opening hours and an increasing range of interesting and delicious wines and spirits, local food produce and exhibits from local artists are all on for sale. Keen to seek out what others do not stock, and also to supply Killearn with its village needs, they sell fabulous rustic breads, local eggs, home made pies with beef and venison and the most magnificent range of patisserie that are all made by Mark, who is also the mastermind behind the transformation of their garden by the yurt into an al fresco dining area, paved and nestling among beds of wildflowers and butterflies, hanging baskets and fairy lights.
Perfect for picnic ideas and passing cyclists, with Cook at Home options that would work a treat on the BBQ too. Such a fabulous range of cakes and pastries are a rare sight and perfect to treat yourself or take as a gift to a foodie friend. Alice is also stocking our book “Meadows: The Swedish Farmer & The Scottish Cook” so do drop in when visiting this pretty Trossachs village.
The Old Mill also has a beautiful Mongolian yurt that seats up to 24 people and is available to hire for private dining. With its own entrance and new wood burning stove its the perfect place to celebrate a special birthday, an anniversary or to get together with family.
