Profile
Set in the heart of Speyside, Campbell Cairns Farm is one of the most historic in the parish. This is malt whisky country but it is also home to rich farmland, heather hills and wonderful biodiversity. Elchies rear British Boer goats that can withstand the chills of Speyside, are good mothers providing plentiful milk for their kids and excellent meat for our table.
At Elchies, farm visits are encouraged to see their alpacas that, along with their pure bred Ryeland sheep provide fabulous fibres for yarns. The sheep are also reared for their lamb, hogget and mutton and slaughtered locally resulting in a high welfare range of ethical meats. There are whole fleeces for sale when available.
Elchies has an excellent mail order shop offering specialist meats, yarns and fleeces, blankets and throws in a lovely range of shades, dyed and undyed.
They have a traditional on-farm shop with their meats, fibres and other local produce…
…plus…
A 24-hour fully automated farm shop, Speyside Producers Market, at the road end, with innovative vending machine systems, allowing producers access to market and customers to buy the fine local produce safely at this brand new concept virtual market.

They also run courses for smallholders & crofters – either providing the on-farm practical venue for parties such as Scottish Crofting Federation or indeed running courses themselves – click the contact for further information.
