Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Mix together dry ingredients.
  2. Rub in butter to the dry mix.
  3. Blend in liquids – it should be a soft mix. Add a little extra milk as required.
  4. Roll out into bannocks and bake on a hot thick-bottomed frying pan (no oil) for 5minutes per side until risen and toasted.
Recipe Notes

They are best eaten fresh and warm, served with butter and jam or cheese. Makes 8 generously sized bannocks
